Vivian Paige: 10 AND 11 months

May and June 3. 2015

I’m combining months 10 to 11… let’s just say we’ve been busy!!

10 months!

11 months!

Viv this month/milestones:
-17lbs and 27in
-Cruising (walking holding onto furniture). She has NO desire to walk. I was convinced she'd be walking by 9 months since she crawled so early, but NOPE! and I'm not fighting it!
-She has her 2 bottom teeth
-She loves to give kisses
-Says “mama” “dada” and “lala” but not with meaning. I THINK she says yes with meaning, but still not sure…
-Still a great sleeper! 2, 2 hour naps and 12-13 hours at night
-We’ve cut down to nursing only in the morning and at night before bed
-She can eat!

Likes: (this month)
-Music
-Dancing
-Talking…. She has quite the little attitude
-Climbing on things
-Crawling instead of walking
-Opening and closing cabinets and doors
-Taking everything out of cabinets and drawers, and throwing what she doesn’t want behind her.
-Playing with anything that isn’t a toy (wires, cords, paper, back scratchers)
-Staring/Creeping on people especially at restaurants. She has 'mean muggin' down to an art
-Food… especially carbs. puffs, banana pancakes, all fruit (especially bananas, blueberries, and watermelon), green smoothies, and cheese
-Dogs
-Books. Her absolute FAVORITE is “Oh Baby, Go Baby” so we are doing her birthday in that theme
-Her swing
-Happy Meals
-Laughing
-Squealing
-Hide n seek
-Peek a boo
-Eating her toes….

Dislikes: (this month)
-Diaper changes
-Sitting still
-Being fed… she wants to do it herself

SO MUCH has happened over the last few months that I won’t even begin to go into the details, but here’s a quick overview:
-She started going to Kindermusik, which she LOVES. She’s all about music and dancing!

-At her 9 month checkup, her pediatrician heard a murmur that concerned him. After an echo, EKG and chest x-ray it was determined that she has a Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). Meaning one of the valves in her heart required for fetal circulation that should have closed after birth, did not. She will need to have it closed surgically. The cardiologist in Tulsa said the ONLY option was open heart surgery… NOT happening. So, this mama bear quickly got on the phone, internet, 2 way radio, you name it to research other options. After a month arguing with Tricare, Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston came to the rescue!!! She will have a catheter assisted device closure when she’s 2… a MUCH less invasive procedure, done by the best!

Waiting for her ECHO

Her first happy meal because she did so well with her Echo

Waiting for her x-ray

At Texas Childrens

Good news!!

-When we went to Houston for her appointment at Texas Children’s, we had a nice little visit with my family. Viv loved seeing her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins!!

LOVES Ellie!

-I took a PRN job teaching NCLEX (Nursing state boards) test prep for Kaplan. I work about 1 week per month. It was hard leaving her the first time, but we both needed it! The first week I worked, her Mimi (Adam’s mom) stayed with her. They had so much fun! We now have a sitter who Viv absolutely adores!

We had to take a selfie everyday before I left...
