Looking Up: Vivian Paige: 9 months

9 months!

9 months in, 9 months out

Viv this month:

Size: 26.5in and 15lb 9oz at her 9mo check up (she's definitely petite like mom...). Wearing 6-9 month clothes

Sleep: Still an awesome sleeper! hallelujah!

Food: Breastfeeding 4-5 times a day, but food is her first love right now. She can crush a banana pancake (just banana and egg). We've moved to 3 consistent meals/day and she eats a ton at each one. I haven't found many things she doesn't like, but her faves are banana pancakes (so I add mashed veggies), apples, meat, potato salad from McAlisters, and those damn baby puffs. I bought my own pouches to make her smoothies to put in them since she will ONLY eat if she's feeding herself.

New Milestones

-She has found her pincher grasp (with both hands) which has really excelled the whole feeding herself situation
-Still cruising around furniture, crawling, and climbing on EVERYTHING
-She's a dancing fool!
-She's not big into hand gestures.... We've been signing for months and she obviously knows what they mean and responds to them, but she won't do them herself. She also won't clap or wave... I started worrying, but my doc assured me it's nothing to worry about yet

Likes (this month)

-Food
-Dropping and banging her toys and hands against things to hear the sound
-Law & Order SVU. She LOVES the theme song and will stop everything to dance every time she hears it
-Her little blue ring (she can find that thing ANYWHERE!)
-She must carry an object in each hand while she's crawling around.... 1 of those things is usually her blue ring
-Vacuums!
-Dogs

Dislikes (this month)

-Cuddling :(. I really miss our cuddles, but she'll only cuddle right before bed/naps..

-Diaper changes

-She's started pulling her bow out of her hair.... more of my dislike than hers I guess

This was an extra busy month! Melissa came home with us when we left Galveston. We were sad to see her leave :(.

Then Adam came home from his TDY with his broken ankle. That made for a fun few weeks... I was SO happy when he got a walking boot and got rid of those annoying crutches!

I had to do this (this was Cole when he broke his leg a few years ago)... My husband truly is a 4 year old.

Oh yeah, don't forget about the awful mustache... Viv didn't know what to think

So we've had 3 'scares' this month... First Viv woke up with what looked like bites around her belly button and I didn't think much of it because it wasn't bothering her. Then they spread... Then it turned to hives.... It bothered me more than her, and was gone within a day with benadryl and lavender oil.

Next, we LOST her beloved blue ring. It took us a day to find it under our bed. We really need to buy a back-up

Third, at her 9mo checkup the doc heard a heart murmur, got a second opinion from another doc and both agreed she should get an Echocardiogram. The Echo is scheduled for tomorrow. Prayers for good news!

We also had a quick visit from Mimi, UU and Lexi :)

My 31st Birthday was pretty awesome! Adam took me to dinner with our friends the Saturday before and got me a YUMMO cookie cake (he's not very good at math.... He meant to put 32, which is wrong, but put 23 instead)... I'm not going to argue though.
